Moldovan media organizations express their concern about the refusal of the state-owned Universul Publishing Company to print the current issue of the Acasă magazine. The arguments of the publishing company’s manager referring to some technical reasons or debts that the publication allegedly has towards this economic agent sound unconvincing, because in such situations solutions between a beneficiary and a provider may be negotiated without jeopardizing timely appearance of the publication.

Молдавские медийные организации выражают обеспокоенность отказом Государственного предприятия издательство «Universul» печатать текущий номер журнала «Acasă». Аргументы администратора издательства о том, что это связано с техническими причинами или с долгами, которые издание якобы имеет перед данным экономическим агентом, звучат  неубедительно, поскольку в таких ситуациях бенефициар и поставщик услуг могут найти решения, не ставящие под угрозу своевременное появление публикации.

CCA a atenționat posturile TV care nu și-au adaptat serviciile audiovizuale la necesitățile persoanelor cu deficiențe de auz și văz

Membrii Consiliului Coordonator al Audiovizualului (CCA) au atenționat posturile TV, în cadrul ședinței din 19 decembrie, referitor la necesitatea de a respecta obligațiunile cu privire la accesul persoanelor cu deficiențe de auz și văz la serviciile de programe audiovizuale. Membrii CCA au decis să se limiteze la o atenționare, motivându-și decizia prin faptul că aceasta a fost prima monitorizare la acest capitol.

Media Experts: Measures to Implement the EU-Moldova Association Agreement in the Part Related to the Media Are Not Enough and Need to Be Sped Up

The actions planned in the National Action Plan (NAP) for the period of September-November 2017 on mass media are insufficient; they focus exclusively on broadcasting and are not in full compliance with the provisions of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement (AA). This is one of the conclusions of the NAP monitoring report, presented by the experts of the Association of Independent Press on December 20, 2017. The report also contains recommendations to the authorities responsible for the field.

Aceasta este unde dintre concluziile raportului de monitorizare a PNA, prezentat de experții media ai Asociației Presei Independente (API) pe 20 decembrie 2017.

Proiectul Concepției politicii naționale de dezvoltare a mass-mediei prevede ca până în anul 2025 Moldova să devină o țară cu o mass-media liberă

Tranziția Republicii Moldova din categoria țărilor cu o „mass-media parțial liberă” în categoria țărilor cu o „mass-media liberă” până în 2025 este unul dintre obiectivele stipulate în proiectul Concepției politicii naționale de dezvoltare a mass-media din Republica Moldova. Proiectul prevede inclusiv necesitatea de a introduce definiția conceptului de mass-media online și reglementarea minimă a acesteia. Documentul a fost prezentat pe 19 decembrie în Parlament de către experții media din cadrul Grupului de lucru privind îmbunătățirea legislației mass-media.

The BCC Has Warned the TV Stations That Have Not Adjusted Their Audiovisual Services to the Needs of People with Hearing and Visual Impairments

Members of the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC) have warned TV stations at a meeting on December 19 about the need to comply with the obligations concerning the access of people with hearing and visual impairments to broadcast program services. The BCC members decided to only give a warning, explaining their decision by the fact that this was the first monitoring of this kind.

The Draft Concept of the National Media Development Policy stipulates that by 2025 Moldova Is to Become a Country with Free Media

The transition of Moldova from the category of countries with partly free media to the category of countries with free media by 2025 is one of the objectives stipulated in the draft Concept of the National Media Development Policy of Moldova. The paper stipulates the need to introduce the definition of online media and to have them regulated. The document has been presented on December 19 in the Parliament by media experts within the working group that focuses on improving the media legislation.
