In the meeting of April 23, the Broadcasting Coordinating Council issued two licenses – to Impuls TV (Soldanesti District) and ITV (Chisinau), to be rebroadcast via cable networks.

Impuls TV has been in the market for 15 years; it gave up the air-broadcasting license in favor of a cable broadcasting license, as the maintenance of the transmitter is too expensive. "By broadcasting via cable networks, we will manage to keep our clients, as well as expand the client base by reaching online users via social networks. In other words, the new license will help us survive while switching from current landline broadcasting to digital broadcasting that is underway", stated for Media Azi de Director of Impuls TV, Victor Sofronii.

He also said that Impuls TV planned on shifting towards IT, which means that it will cease being a general public TV channel. "We have seen that the audience mostly seeks news", said Victor Sofronii. Impuls TV is one of the 14 regional TV stations (including those in Ribnita and Bender) who are part of the Regional Channel Program.

Another cable license was issued to a new TV channel - ITV. According to the concept they presented, it will be a TV channel targeting the general public, broadcasting popular science programs, music, sports, movies, TV series etc.

According to the Cable Service Providers Register of the Coordinating Council for Broadcasting, as of March 10, 2015 there were 80 registered broadcasters in Moldova.
