The topic of the 68th edition of ‘Media Azi’ show is the public wiretaps appeared in mass-media, including video sequences in which certain politicians appear in an unfavourable light.

The host of this edition, the journalist Irina Gotisan, and her guests – Chairperson of the Centre for Investigative Journalism, Cornelia Cozonac, and legal adviser at the Centre for Investigative Journalism – will try to answer to a number of questions: How fair is, from ethical point of view, for journalists to use phone and video wiretaps in their journalistic materials? What does the law provide for in this respect? What does prevail in such cases – the citizens’ right to information or the public figures’ right to private life?

Last but not least, what should the journalists do when certain sources provide them wiretaps? How should we avoid playing the game of some persons or institutions interested in information leakage?
