Explanation

In connection with the information published on Thursday, February 23, by several media outlets, about the director of the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) joining a new media project, we are making the following explanation:

Neither the IJC director, nor the IJC are part of any media project, not as members of administration boards or as founders.

The Independent Journalism Center sees its mission in facilitating the development of all independent media by supporting and promoting professionalism among journalists, providing assistance to development of viable independent media that would offer quality content. For this very reason the IJC will continue working with all media outlets that will show interest for its various projects. Also, the IJC will continue monitoring and evaluating the products of media outlets, including those newly created.
