The Northern Television From Balti Will Broadcast Only Until the End of August

Another television broadcaster stops its activity: 31 August is the last day of work for the Northern Television (TVN) from Balti, which was launched on the media market in April 2018. This was the decision of the founder, confirmed for Media-azi the director of the channel – Viorica Bugulean.

Viorica Bugulean stated for Media-azi that she was surprised by the decision of the founder. ‘It is the decision of a businessman that he recently made. He will stop the funding’, added Bugulean.
The manager will announce the Broadcasting Council about the termination of the channel’s activity.

The reporter of the portal Nordnews.md, which also covers the events from the north of the country, Dumitru Pelin, made the following comment on Facebook: ‘TV NORD stops its activity, but boy, they started so good! Good luck colleagues’, wrote Pelin.
Note that TVN obtained the licence on 24 April and positioned itself as a general television channel, covering in its newscasts the events happening in Moldova’s 11 northern districts.

The economic operator that holds the licence for TVN is NORD TV company. According to the State Registration Chamber, the founder of TVN is Eugeniu Muntean – the only shareholder, and the manager is Victoria Bugulean.
Note that the local channel Canal 2 Nisporeni has recently shut down.
