State Chancellery informs: Program to be published next week

The Government decision on approval of the Program of transition from analog to digital terrestrial television is to appear in the Official Monitor next week, according to the representatives of the State Chancellery’s Bureau for Communication and Relations with the Media.

At the Media Azi request for information about the state of the above-mentioned Government decision, responsible representatives of the State Chancellery said that “the decision’s draft was actually approved on 7 May 2014, after which it was finalized according to new proposals and underwent the countersigning procedure. The decision is to appear in the Official Monitor next week.”

Oleg Postovanu, the legal expert of the Independent Journalism Center (IJC), mentioned that according to Article 30 of the Law on the Government, Government decisions and rulings, except the ones containing state secret, shall be published in the Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova within 10 days from their adoption or issuance. They shall enter into force on the day of publication in the Official Monitor or on the day indicated in their text.

It should be noted that, according to the obligations assumed by Moldova and other 104 countries, transition to terrestrial digital television must be finalized by 17 June 2015.
