At his first press conference, which lasted for about an hour and a half, the ex-prime minister Vlad Filat, released conditionally on December 3, told the journalists, among other things, what media outlets he used to watch during his detention period.

The former prime minister said that he had access only to those TV channels, belonging to the holding of the former leader of the democrats, Vlad Plahotniuc. ‘I had plenty of time to watch the remarkable successes of the Democratic Party's governance. Then, for a shorter period though, – the Democratic Party’s remarkable achievements as opposition. What I mean, is that I didn't have access to other TV channels...’.

The journalist who asked the question wanted to find out specific TV channel names he was referring to.

‘I don't know, holding, the way you call it (...) Prime, Publika, Canal 2, Canal 3, STS’, answered Filat.

He also added that, at present, there are more TV channels available in the penitentiary and that the prisoners have access to alternative sources of information.
