The PFD Told the Journalists who Asked for an Interview with Filat that It Could Not Be Allowed Without the Approval of the Court or the Prosecutor’s Office

The Penitentiary Facilities Department (PFD) responded to six journalists who had asked for an interview with former Prime Minister Vlad Filat, who is currently detained in Penitentiary No. 13, that it cannot authorize such an interview without a permission of a court or of the criminal investigation authority (in this case, the Prosecutor General’s Office).

The U.S. Ambassador Urges Moldovan Authorities to Adopt the New Broadcasting Code As Soon As Possible

U.S. Ambassador to Moldova James D. Pettit urged Moldovan authorities to adopt, as soon as possible, a new broadcasting code compliant with the standards of the European Union (EU), according to the information published on the embassy’s website. The Ambassador made this statement on December 15 at a conference organized by the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC).

POB Survey: People Trust Television the Most and Usually Seek Information in Domestic and Russian Sources

Television is still the most important source of information, trusted by people the most, according to the Public Opinion Barometer (POB). The survey was presented by the Institute of Public Policies on Thursday, December 14.

According to the survey, about 70% of respondents watch television daily, including online. The Internet comes second, with 50% of respondents. Radio is the third in this rating, with a score of about 28%. Newspapers and books (including online) are read every day by about 7% of respondents.

Опрос БОМ: Граждане больше всего доверяют телевидению и обычно получают информацию из отечественных и российских источников

Согласно Барометру общественного мнения (БОМ), телевидение остается самым важным источником информации, и граждане больше всего доверяют ему. Исследование общественного мнения было представлено Институтом общественной политики в четверг, 14 декабря.

Согласно опросу, около 70% респондентов ежедневно смотрят телеканалы, в том числе онлайн. Второе место занимает интернет, из него черпают информацию  50% респондентов. Радио занимает третье место в рейтинге, его упоминают около 28%. Газеты и книги (в том числе онлайн) каждый день читают около 7% респондентов.

CCA a aprobat cesiunea licenței de emisie a postului TV8. Natalia Morari: „Suntem șocați!”

Consiliul Coordonator al Audiovizualului (CCA) a aprobat, în cadrul ședinței din 14 decembrie, după câteva luni de amânare, cererea de cesiune a licenței de emisie a postului de televiziune TV8 de la Compania Analitic Media Grup către Asociația Obștească Media Alternativă. Reprezentanții postului de televiziune TV8 cred că decizia nu ar fi fost posibilă, dacă acest caz nu ar fi ajuns în vizorul partenerilor de dezvoltare.

The BCC Approved the Transfer of the TV8 Broadcast License. Natalia Morari: “We Are Shocked!”

The Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC) approved at the meeting on December 14, after several months of postponement, the request to transfer the broadcast license for the television station TV8 from the company Analitic Media Group to the Media Alternativa Public Association. Representatives of TV8 believe that the decision would not have been possible if this case did not reach development partners.
