Beginning with 1 January 2020, ‘Jurnal de Chisinau’ Newspaper Will Stop its Activity, and the Weekly Newspaper From the Northern Capital – ‘SP Balti’, Will no Longer be Printed

The readers of the newspapers ‘Jurnal de Chisinau’ and ‘SP Balti’ will no longer be able to read these newspapers, starting with January 2020. The founders of both publications decided to close them because they are no longer profitable, and they will be issued only in on-line format.

De la 1 ianuarie 2020, se închide ziarul Jurnal de Chișinău, iar în capitala de nord nu va mai apărea pe hârtie săptămânalul SP Bălți

Cititorii ziarelor Jurnal de Chișinău și SP Bălți nu vor mai putea citi aceste ziare, începând cu ianuarie 2020. Fondatorii ambelor publicații au decis să le închidă, pe motiv că nu mai sunt rentabile, și să apară doar în format online.

De altfel, în ultima perioada Jurnal de Chișinău apare în varianta alb-negru, deși anterior era color. Ultimul număr al ziarului din săptămâna trecută anunță un tiraj de 6640 de exemplare. Ziarul a fost fondat în anul 1999 și își încheie activitatea în anul 2019.

Media NGOs call on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the context of the statements made by the President of the Parliamentary Committee for National Security, Defense and Public Order, Chiril Motpan, about the wiretaps of a number of experts, journalists and activists from different fields, to confirm or refute the information on the spinning of media representatives. 

We call on the General Prosecutor’s Office, which announced that it took note of these statements, to conduct an objective investigation and to act transparently.

Министерство финансов (МинФин) намерено обложить налогом иностранные компании, не имеющие собственных офисов или представительств в Республике Молдова (такие как «Google», «Facebook», «Яндекс» и пр.) и которые оказывают электронные услуги физическим лицам – онлайн-реклама, трансляция цифровых радио- или телевизионных передач, предоставление доступа к аудиовизуальному контенту, видеоиграм и т. д.

Google, Facebook and Other International Companies Will be Taxed in Moldova for the Services Provided to Individuals. Will We Pay More for Sponsorship?

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) wants to tax foreign companies that do not have residence or office in the Republic of Moldova (such as Google, Facebook, Yandex, etc.) and that provide electronic services for individuals – online advertising, digital transmission of radio or TV programs, and that grant access to audiovisual content, video games, etc. These measures are found in the draft law on tax and customs policy of Chicu Government for 2020, which was approved by the Government on Wednesday, 27 November 2019.

Ministerul Finanțelor (MF) vrea să impoziteze companiile străine care nu au rezidență sau reprezentanță în Republica Moldova (cum ar fi Google, Facebook, Yandex etc) și care prestează servicii electronice pentru persoane fizice – publicitate online, transmisie digitală de programe radio sau TV, acordarea accesului la conținutul audiovizual, jocuri video etc.
