On 19 November, the Independent Journalism Centre (IJC) hosted, at Media Hub, a meeting with the co-founder and head of digital of the Slovak newspaper and news website Dennik N, Tomas Bella. The journalists and media managers from Chisinau had the opportunity to discuss the monetization methods used by the portal, as well as the international trends of media financing.

Oferta CJI pentru jurnaliștii cu idei de subiecte de interes public și cu bugete limitate

Centrul pentru Jurnalism Independent (CJI) vine în susținerea jurnaliștilor care au idei de subiecte de interes public, dar bugetele cărora sunt limitate. CJI îndeamnă jurnaliștii sau echipele de jurnaliști să propună subiectele și să prezinte bugetele de care au nevoie pentru realizarea acestora. Peste o săptămână, CJI va selecta trei dintre acestea și va lansa o campanie prin care consumatorii de media vor fi îndemnați să contribuie prin donații.

    Președintele Comisiei parlamentare securitate națională, apărare și ordine publică, Chiril Moțpan (deputat din Fracțiunea ACUM Platforma DA), a insistat, în cadrul briefingului de presă din Parlament din 26 noiembrie, pe ipoteza că în spatele acțiunilor de interceptare a protestatarilor, jurnaliștilor și activiștilor civici ar sta și Serviciul de Informații și Securitate (SIS).

    Media Education Rolls out in the North of Moldova – 24 Teachers from Russian Schools Strengthened their Skills to Teach this Optional Course

    During 15-17 November 2019, the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) held the first media literacy training program outside Chisinau. The training that took place in Balti was attended by 24 teachers who teach in Russian, from the northern districts of Moldova.
     
    The course trainers were Loretta Handrabura, PhD in Philology, and Natalia Griu, Chief Consultant at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, two of the authors of ‘Media Education’ curricula and textbook, at the primary education level.

    Nicolae Tibrigan, PhD in Sociology and researcher at ‘Ion I. C. Bratianu’ Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Romanian Academy, offers definitions, explanations and case studies in a new online workshop, launched by the Independent Journalism Center.
