Media organizations are concerned about the threats and intimidation coming from a former employee of the Soroca City Police Inspectorate against journalist Vadim Stebate. After the journalist published some photographs about illegal parking facilities in the city of Soroca in the Observatorul de Nord regional newspaper, a former policeman commented on a social networking website: “You didn’t get punched when you should have, and now you’re going out of your mind.”

Partidul Democrat (PD) a anunțat, printr-un comunicat de presă, din 6 decembrie, că a decis să propună introducerea pe ordinea de zi a şedinţei Parlamentului, din această săptămână, a proiectului de lege privind limitarea emisiunilor informativ-analitice, retransmise de radiodifuzorii din Moldova, dar care provin din țările care nu sunt membre ale Uniunii Europene, din SUA, Canada, precum şi cele care nu au ratificat Convenţia Europeană cu privire la televiziunea transfrontalieră.

Правящая партия возвращает в Парламент законопроект о борьбе с пропагандой

Демократическая партия (ДП) объявила в пресс-релизе 6 ноября о своем решении внести в Парламент на этой неделе проект закона об ограничении информационно-аналитических передач, ретранслируемых молдавскими вещателями, произведенных в странах, не являющихся членами ЕС, США и Канадой или в странах, которые не ратифицировали Европейскую конвенцию о трансграничном телевидении. По мнению ДП, целью данной инициативы является обеспечение безопасности информационного пространства и борьба с иностранной пропагандой.

The Ruling Party Returns the Draft Law on Combating Propaganda to the Parliament

The Democratic Party (DP) announced in a press release on November 6 that it decided to introduce on the Parliament’s agenda this week the draft law on restricting informative and analytical programs retransmitted by Moldovan broadcasters from countries that are not members of the EU, USA, or Canada, and from the countries that have not ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television. According to the DP, the goal of this initiative is to ensure the security of the information space and combat foreign propaganda.
