7th Monitoring Report Authors: “Apart from Partisanship, We Discovered Defamation, Manipulation, Disinformation”

The media committed manipulation during the election campaign, and this fact was particularly pronounced in the second round of the election – this is one of the findings of the 7th monitoring report developed by the Independent Journalism Centre (IJC) and the Association of Independent Press (API), presented on Wednesday, 16th of November. The report covered the period from 6th to 11th of November 2016.

Авторы седьмого отчета о мониторинге: Кроме режима благоприятствования, пресса прибегла к клевете, манипулированию и дезинформации

Средства массовой информации прибегли к манипулированию в освещении избирательной кампании, особенно во втором туре выборов. К такому выводу пришли авторы седьмого отчета о мониторинге, составленного Центром независимой журналистики (ЦНЖ) и Ассоциацией независимой прессы (АНП). Отчет был представлен в среду, 16 ноября, и охватывает период с 6 по 11 ноября 2016 года.

Two Media Organisations Demand the Resignation of the Administration of the Broadcasting Coordinating Council that Failed to "Fulfil its Obligations" in the Election Campaign

The Independent Journalism Center (IJC) and the Association of Independent Press (API) demanded on Wednesday, 16th of November, the resignation of the Chairman of the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC), Dinu Ciocan, and of BCC members who have not properly applied the legal provisions towards the broadcasters who breached the Broadcasting Code in the recent election campaign, thus undermining the citizen's right to objective information.

Центр независимой журналистики (ЦНЖ) и Ассоциация независимой прессы (АНП) потребовали в среду, 16 ноября, отставки председателя Координационного совета по телевидению и радиовещанию (КСТР) Дину Чокана и членов КСТР, которые не применили должным образом законодательство в отношении телерадиовещателей, которые нарушили положения Кодекса телевидения и радио во время последней избирательной кампании, нарушив право граждан на объективное информирование.

Promo-LEX sesizează: în regiunea transnistreană continuă intimidarea jurnaliștilor

Asociația Promo-LEX a comunicat marți, 15 noiembrie 2016, despre câteva cazuri de intimidare a jurnaliștilor din regiunea transnistreană. Astfel, jurnalista freelancer Natalia Scurtul a fost citată la direcția de miliție din Tiraspol pentru exprimarea unor opinii personale la un post de televiziune privat din regiune. Iar pe data de 12 noiembrie, reprezentanții miliției au încercat să interzică unui tânăr din Bender să distribuie ziarul „Chelovek i ego Prava”. Incidentul a fost filmat de trecători.

Promo-LEX Notifies: the Intimidation of Journalists Continues in the Transnistrian Region

Promo-LEX Association informed on Tuesday, 15th of November 2016, about several cases of intimidation of journalists in the Transnistrian region. The freelance journalist Natalia Scurtul was summoned to the militia directorate of Tiraspol for having expressed her personal views at a private TV station of the region. Another case - on the 12th of November, the militiamen

attempted to impede the distribution of "Chelovek i Ego Prava" newspaper by a young man from Bender. The incident was filmed by bystanders.

«Promo-LEX»: В приднестровском регионе продолжается запугивание журналистов

Представители Ассоциации «Promo-LEX» сообщили во вторник, 15 ноября 2016 года, о нескольких случаях запугивания журналистов в приднестровском регионе. Так, журналист-фрилансер Наталья Скуртул была вызвана в отделение милиции в Тирасполе за высказывание личного мнения на местном частном телеканале. Другой случай был зарегистрирован 12 ноября, когда приднестровские милиционеры попытались запретить одному молодому человеку из Бендер распределять газету «Человек и его права». Инцидент сняли на видеокамеру прохожие.
