Доклад ЦНЖ: Положительные изменения в освещении гагаузскими и приднестровскими СМИ тем, касающихся меньшинств и социально незащищенных лиц

СМИ в АТО Гагаузия и в приднестровском регионе достигли определенного количественного и качественного прогресса с точки зрения освещения тем, касающихся меньшинств и социально незащищенных лиц. Это один из основных выводов второго доклада о мониторинге, выполненного Центром независимой журналистики (ЦНЖ). Было отмечено улучшение в качестве и глубине материалов о меньшинствах и лицах с ограниченными возможностями, особенно в гагаузской прессе.

Ex-policeman confesses to murder of abducted Mexican journalist

The body of a Mexican journalist who was abducted by armed men three weeks ago has been found. And, according to authorities in Veracruz state, a former police officer has confessed to murdering Moises Sanchez, claiming he did so at the request of a mayor.

Sanchez a journalist in the town of Medellin de Bravo who published a weekly newspaper, La Union, disappeared on 2 January.

Planned flogging of Saudi blogger Raif Badawi postponed again

According Theguardian.com, Saudi Arabia is under mounting international pressure over the blogger Raif Badawi, whose public flogging has been postponed for a second consecutive week after a medical assessment.

Protests and vigils were held in public places and outside Saudi embassies across the world on Thursday, keeping up the momentum after a medical committee said he should not undergo a second round of 50 lashes on health grounds.

Consiliul de Presă din Republica Moldova şi Asociaţia Presei Independente (API) invită persoanele interesate la discuţia publică „Dreptul la viaţa privată în mass-media”.

Evenimentul va avea loc joi, 29 ianuarie 2015, cu începere de la ora 12.00, în sala „Courtyard” a Hotelului „Codru” (mun. Chişinău, strada 31 August 1989, 127, etajul 1, intrarea centrală).
