Olga Bordeianu rămâne în funcția de preşedintă a TRM

Consiliul de Observatori (CO) al IPNA Compania ”Teleradio-Moldova” a examinat demersul unui membru al consiliului, Petru Grozavu, în care solicita să-i fie retras votul în favoarea Olgăi Bordeianu, pe care l-a acordat în cadrul concursului din 4-5 iunie curent, desfăşurat de CO, când aceasta a fost aleasă în funcția de președinte a instituției naționale a audiovizualului. Argumentul adus de juriștii companiei a fost că membrii CO nu pot să-și retragă votul deoarece nu există în legislație asemenea prevederi legale.

Olga Bordeianu keeps the position of TRM president

The Supervisory Board (SB) of the “Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) public company examined the appeal of one of its members, Petru Grozavu, who requested that the Board annul his vote for Olga Bordeianu, which he gave during the contest conducted by SB on June 4 and 5, when she was elected as the president of the national public broadcasting company. The company’s lawyers argued that SB members cannot withdraw their votes because the law has no such provisions.

Наблюдательный совет (НС) Национальной общественной компании по телевидению и радиовещанию «Телерадио-Молдова» рассмотрел ходатайство члена НС Петру Грозаву, который требовал отменить решение конкурса от 4-5 июня 2015 года о назначении Ольги Бордеяну председателем общественной компании «Телерадио-Молдова». По словам юристов «Телерадио-Молдова», члены НС не могут отозвать свои голоса, так как это не предусмотрено действующим законодательством.

IJC initiative – tolerance and accountability in the media

The Independent Journalism Center comes with a novelty for journalists and editors from online media: the launch of a project that aims to combat hate speech in online media and social networks and promote the principle of accountability in the media.

To assess the online media content, the IJC will monitor 15 online media and will launch two reports that will analyze how sensitive subjects about minorities and disadvantaged groups of people are covered and how the content managers of these web portals administer comments posted by the readers.

Key media NGOs - the Independent Journalism Center, the Independent Press Association and the Electronic Press Association – requested on Tuesday, June 23, via a press conference, that the results of the tender conducted on June 4 and 5, 2015 to recruit the Chair of the National Broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova and the Director of the Public Radio Station Radio Moldova be abolished.
