The first woman in Moldova to participate in UN peacekeeping missions, the only woman in the country to run a district hospital, and the first woman to manage a biomass briquettes manufacturing company are only some of the protagonists of the videos produced by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC).
The videos present the stories of 15 women from Moldova who managed to assert themselves and achieve remarkable results in various fields: management, business, local public administration, agriculture, medicine, etc. Protagonists speak about their experience and about the efforts they made to fulfill their wishes and projects in Moldova.
By these video products, which will be broadcast by several local TV stations, the IJC aimed at contributing to the promotion of women’s image in society.
The videos have been produced as part of the “Changing the Perception on Women in Society through Media” project implemented by the IJC between September 2013 and September 2014 with the support of the Netherlands Embassy through the MATRA Program.
