The BC Argues that it Cannot Sanction the Biased TV Channels in the Election Campaign. Ion Bunduchi: “If the BC does not understand something, that does not mean that the law does not provide them with levers”

The Broadcasting Council (BC) cannot sanction the TV channels that favor or disfavor certain electoral candidates, but it can take measures against the broadcasters that do not provide the right to reply to the people mentioned in the video reports. These statements belong to some members of the BC and were made within the Parliamentary Committee for Mass-Media, which was held on Friday, the 11th of October.

Scandal at BC: Dragos Vicol Suspended the Meeting after One Member Resigned, and Other Members Demanded the Election of a New Chair

The member of the Broadcasting Council (BC) Veronica Cojocaru announced her resignation starting with 15 October at the meeting held on 11 October.  She grounded her decision on the fact that BC Chair Dragos Vicol would poorly manage the Council’s work. At the same meeting, BC member Corneliu Mihalache proposed to elect a new Chair of the Council, but Vicol refused to put the proposal to a vote and suspended the meeting.

Granturi europene în valoare de până la 60 000 de euro pentru producție audiovizuală

Programul Uniunii Europene ”Măsuri de Promovare a Încrederii” lansează un concurs de acordare a cel puțin 20 de granturi cu valoarea de la 1 000 de euro până la 60 000 de euro pentru instituții mass-media, case de producție, ONG-uri sau asociații de media.
 
Acestea sunt invitate să depună propuneri de proiect pentru crearea conținutului audiovizual care va contribui la sporirea încrederii între locuitorii ambelor maluri ale râului Nistru.

Ediția a doua a concursului național „Click pentru egalitate de gen”

Asociația Presei Independente (API) și UN Women Moldova anunță ediția a doua a concursului național „Click pentru egalitate de gen”. La concurs se pot înscrie jurnaliști și jurnaliste, fotojurnaliști și fotojurnaliste din presa scrisă, radio, TV, online, care abordează subiecte despre egalitatea de gen și/sau drepturile femeilor.

Categoriile concursului

Concursul va avea următoarele trei categorii: 
1. Presă scrisă și presa online
2. Audiovizual (TV și radio)
3. Fotografie

Media in Election Campain: Three Out of Ten TV Channels Monitored by the IJC Continue to Favor Certain Electoral Candidates

In the second week of the election campaign, NTV Moldova and Accent TV favored the candidate of the Socialists Ion Ceban, and the Central Television – the candidates of the ‘Sor’ Party. This is mentioned in the second Monitoring Report of Media during the election campaign, produced by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) and launched on Thursday, 10 October, at a press conference.

«Unimedia» сменил владельца. Кристиан Жардан администрировал портал четыре года и передал его журналистке Олесе Банарь

По данным самого портала, компания SC «Miraza» SRL, владелец новостного сайта Unimedia.info, сменила своего единственного учредителя. Вместо Кристиана Жардан, который владел и управлял компанией в течение последних пяти лет, у её штурвала встала журналистка Олеся Банарь.
