IJC Monitoring Report: Mixing Facts and Opinions — the Most Common Manipulation Technique Used by Media Outlets

Mixing facts and opinions remains the main violation made by the media outlets monitored by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC). This is one of the findings stated in ‘Elements of Propaganda, Misinformation, and Violation of Journalism Ethics in the Local Media (1 July – 29 September 2019)’ Report, launched by Independent Journalism Center on Monday, 30 October.

A Company, Registered at the Same Address as Plahotniuc’s Holding Company, Obtained a Broadcast License for a New TV Channel – Canal 5

A new TV channel, Canal 5, will appear. During its meeting held on 4 October, the Broadcasting Council (BC) granted, with five votes for and one vote against, a broadcast license for this TV channel, own by Media Content Distribution. The company is managed by Lilian Bustiuc, being registered at the same address as the holding company of the former Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc.

Internews организует серию тренингов по безопасности для IT специалистов медиа и НПО

Internews приглашает IT специалистов медиа, НПО и правозащитных организаций принять участие в серии тренингов по цифровой безопасности.
 
Первый трехдневный тренинг состоится 9-11 ноября в Кишиневе.
Рабочий язык тренинга – русский.
 
Второй тренинг пройдет в декабре, третий – в начале 2020 года. Организаторы учтут результаты первого тренинга и пожелания участников при разработке программ второго и третьего тренинга.

Majoritatea materialelor electorale difuzate de cele zece posturi tv monitorizate de Centrul pentru Jurnalism Independent (CJI), în perioada 20-27 septembrie, în cadrul Coaliției pentru Alegeri Libere și Corecte, au fost corecte și echidistante, prezentând neutru protagoniștii. Totuși, o bună parte din știrile pe această temă s-au limitat la o singură sursă și nu au tratat subiectele în profunzime.
