IJC Campaign: We want access to Parliament!

The Independent Journalism Center (IJC) is continuing the advocacy campaign to ensure free access of the press to Parliament meetings, so that media representatives can cover objectively and comprehensively the works of the legislative body and provide accurate information to citizens.

IJC campaign: For order and transparency in mass media

Citizens have the right to know who owns media outlets, in order to be able to choose information consciously and not be manipulated by anonymous owners, who use the media for their personal interests – it is the message of the new video material launched by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) to support the campaign aimed at improving the legal framework in terms of media ownership transparency.

Aşa cum au promis saptămâna trecută, reprezentanţii Centrului pentru Jurnalism Independent s-au prezentat din nou, miercuri, 18 februarie, în faţa Parlamentului, pentru a le reaminti deputaţilor că jurnaliştii acreditaţi aici nu-şi pot exercita profesionist meseria, atâta timp cât le este interzis accesul în sala de şedinţe a legislativului.

The “Sheep Fold” Was Mounted Again in front of Parliament on Wednesday

As promised last week, the staff of the Center for Independent Journalism came again on Wednesday, February 18, to Parliament, to remind the MPs that accredited journalists cannot work properly if they are denied access to the Parliament meetings. The "Sheep Fold" built by the organizers of the event is a symbol of the nook provided to the press by the MPs and of media censorship imposed on them, as journalists are fed only the information that would make the MPs look good in the media.
