Dozens of news websites appeared in the information space of Moldova since 2011. Sometimes, however, the authors of these projects do not mention the names of the journalists who prepare materials for them, and sometimes they take texts over from other outlets without mentioning the first source. Also, dozens of blogs appear which are used exclusively for political purposes. And more and more people are wondering: what is the boundary between journalism and blogging?

The topic was discussed in the 47th edition of the “Media Azi” show, hosted by journalist Anastasia Nani with the participation of journalist Vitalie Calugareanu and blogger Ion Harghel, who is the deputy president of the Democratic Party’s youth organization.

What are the editorial policies of news websites? Why are the teams that work for these sites often anonymous? How can the informational permissiveness in some online media be stopped? See how these questions are answered by the guests of the show.

Another issue discussed relates to the rules of conduct that the journalists and bloggers whose work appears online should abide by. See why the principle of self-regulation fails to work in Moldova and what the guests of the show think about the licensing of journalistic work as a filtering mechanism.

The protagonists of the show also try to answer other questions: Why is the citizen in Moldova obliged to watch whatever the politician wants? How does it happen that journalists give up the sacred principles of professional ethics and are lured by the money of certain politicians? Why is the journalistic community split up?
