Recently, the Realitatea television channel has stopped working. Its sudden closure, as well as the general situation on the media market, is discussed in the 53rd edition of the “Media Azi” broadcast by journalist Ivan Sveatcenko as the host and Dumitru Tira, general director of Realitatea media group, as his guest.

In this edition, you can hear straight from the source why Realitatea TV was closed and under what conditions it could have kept working. You can also see what Dumitru Tira thinks about the possibility for a TV channel to exist on money from propaganda.

Other questions that are discussed in this edition are: Why are there less and less people willing to invest in media? Is it correct for a television with national coverage to focus on the retransmission of foreign channels? What should we do with Russian propaganda, which affects people’s minds? And, last but not least, what is the future of television in Moldova, given that the Internet has gotten into every home?
