Training at IJC: ‘Data View – How to Make the Monotonous Information Attractive?’

The Independent Journalism Center announces the registration to the training in ‘Data View – How to Make the Monotonous Information Attractive’, which will take place on 23-24 March 2018, in Chisinau.

The training is open to journalists and publishers interested to find out:

how to highlight the value of information by using data viewing tools;

how to give more expression to journalistic materials;

how to keep readers' attention.

Andrey Misyurev, visualization expert from Sankt-Petersburg, Russia, will be the trainer. He has a huge expertise in communication, product development and information services used to draw readers’ attention.

During the training, the expert will explain the key elements of data visualization, will provide successful data viewing examples, and will introduce tools by which we can convert figures into images, so that articles can capture readers’ attention.

Participants will also develop the practical skills necessary to use the data while producing news reports.

The training is organized by the Independent Journalism Center, as partner of ‘Media Enabling Democracy, Inclusion and Accountability in Moldova’ (MEDIA-M) project, funded by USAID and implemented by Internews. The MEDIA-M project intends to promote the development of an independent and professional press in Moldova, give citizens the access to a range of perspectives and contribute to creation of a media sector that will be more resistant to political and financial pressures.
