Journalist Olesi Buzina Was Killed in Kiev

Journalist and writer Oles Buzina was killed Thursday, April 16, in the vicinity of the house where he lived. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine.

According to lifenews.ru, citing eyewitnesses, the tragedy happened in Degteariovskaya Street in Kiev. The masked attackers fired from a blue Ford Focus.

The case is being investigated by police. Law enforcement bodies have started a general criminal tracking operation.

In Ukraine, Olesi Buzina is known as a writer, TV host and opposition journalist. A month ago, he resigned from his position of editor in chief of the newspaper "Segodnia". According to him, he left office because of censorship and lack of leverage to change the personnel policy.
