According to Deschide.md, reporter Vadim Ungureanu, an intern at this website, was attacked on Tuesday by the owner of an illegally parked car after the young man photographed the scene.

The incident happened in front of the Ministry of Justice. Vadim Ungureanu photographed the car that was illegally parked at the pedestrian crossing in front of the Dacia hotel. After taking photos, the journalist was slapped by the car owner, who had just come out of the hotel, and intimidated by five other men.

“He hit me with two hands simultaneously at the temples, in front of five other men that were using threats to make me delete the photos,” says Vadim Ungureanu. After being bullied, the reporter withdrew into the building of the Ministry of Justice, waiting for the attacker to leave.

Ungureanu added that several witnesses refused to disclose their names, motivating that the car owner often comes to the hotel. A police patrol came to the place of the incident and lifted the car’s registration plate.

At the same time, the team of Deschide.md asked the management of the National Patrol Inspectorate and the Police Commissariat of Chisinau to intervene into solving this incident. Asked by Media-Azi.md, Vadim Ungureanu said he would lodge a complaint to the Commissariat on Wednesday morning.
