Students of Journalism Faculty from University of European Studies (USEM) were informed about opportunities for their professional development offered by the Independent Journalism Center during the IJC Caravan activity, which was launched on October 30.

Students were informed that they could benefit from training programs and were encouraged to participate in press club sessions, workshops, seminars and other events organized by the IJC, where they can enjoy master classes of experienced journalists, exchange contacts and meet their colleagues.

Both students and lecturers present at this meeting shared the view that the Mass Media in Moldova Magazine, surveys and monitoring reports produced by the IJC are useful products that help them understand current problems challenging Moldovan media.

Valentina Enachi, Head of Journalism Department, USEM, stated that such events are most welcomed because students need to communicate and get involved in various extracurricular activities.

This meeting with USEM students was organized within the initiative known as IJC Caravan – an activity aimed to enhance cooperation with higher education institutions of Moldova.
