Consumer Protection – the topic of the latest multimedia package of the Moldova Plus program

Consumer protection is the topic addressed in the eighth multimedia package of the Moldova Plus program, which was launched in Chisinau on Friday, 10 June. The event was attended by local media partners of the Strengthening Independence in Communication Media project and by representatives of New Project Media, who developed materials for this package.

The series of reports on the above-mentioned topic includes materials about: the book of complaints; products sold before being produced; palm oil that appears in products without being mentioned; journalistic experiment: testing fruit and vegetables for nitrates, and a material about how easily Moldovans recover their money for poor quality products.

The Moldova Plus consumer protection multimedia package contains 5 materials, available in the form of photo, video, audio, text, infographics, which can be accessed on media-azi.md in the Moldova Plus Național section.

Materials produced by the team of New Project Media and local partners will be published by the media outlets that they represent in Balti, Soroca, Floresti, Soldanesti, Rezina, Nisporeni, Cimislia, Basarabeasca, Bender, and Comrat.

Seven other packages with multimedia materials were published in the Moldova Plus program. They covered such topics as: the Association Agreement with the EU (produced by Radio Chisinau journalists); agriculture (Unimedia.info); energy efficiency (New Project Media); cultural heritage (Radio Chisinau); gender equality (Unimedia.info); small business (MediaLog); and justice and anticorruption (New Project Media).

The Moldova Plus program is part of the “Strengthening Independence in Communication Media in Moldova” project, implemented by the Independent Journalism Center in collaboration with Internews in the period of November 2014 to August 2016.
