The Parliamentary Commission for Culture, Education, Research, Youth, Sport, and Mass Media accepted the applications of 12 people for the three vacant positions of member of the Broadcasting Coordinating Council. They are:  Aurelia Peru-Balan, Leonid Smolnitchi, Cornelia Stefoglu, Tatiana Buraga, Carmelia Albu, Aurelia Leorda-Panis, Lucia Beiu, Dorina Curnic, Iurie Ursu, Veronica Cojocaru, Alexandru Versinin, Liubovi Caliciscova-Tataru.

At the interview stage, which will take place on Wednesday, 7 June 2017, at 10:30 a.m., three candidates will be selected, who will then have to be approved by the Parliamentary Commission for Legal Issues, Appointments and Immunities and then voted at a plenary meeting.

The public contest for the three vacant positions in the BCC membership was announced by the Parliamentary Commission for Mass Media in April this year, after the terms of office of three BCC members – Dinu Ciocan, Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca and Nicolae Damaschin – expired in May.
