Internews in Moldova invites active young people from the entire country to apply to the Photo Camp organised in partnership with the National Geographic Society. Photo Camp is a photo training and a media-education-through-photos program that gives the opportunity to try various techniques of creating visual stories, developing in this way a critical spirit of analysis enabling the participants to transpose events/happenings into quality pictures. The training session will be held by a National Geographic Society team of photographers known worldwide that will provide the participants a number of innovative tools and techniques of rendering photo stories.
The National Geographic Photo Camp will be held in Soroca town, on 16-20 April 2018. It is free of charge to all participants. The organisers will cover all the costs for transport, accommodation and food, and will provide the participants with all they need for training, including cameras.
After the training courses, the participants will have the possibility to expose their own works and share the experience gained at National Geographic Photo Camp during some public exhibitions and meeting with members of the community they are a part of/colleagues.

- 18-25 years old;
- Interested in photography;
- Active and willing to expose their experience gained at National Geographic Photo Camp to the members of the community they are a part of.
The number of participants is limited – 20 persons. To apply for the National Geographic Photo Camp, young people are invited to fill in an online form until 15 March 2018, 6.00 p.m. The form may be filled in here. The selected participants will be notified via email until 30 March.

This training program is organised under the ‘Media Enabling Democracy, Inclusion and Accountability in Moldova’ (MEDIA-M) Project, funded by USAID and implemented by Internews. The MEDIA-M Project intends to promote the development of an independent and professional press in Moldova, give citizens the access to a range of perspectives and contribute to creation of a media sector that will be more resistant to political and financial pressures.
