A New Television on the Horizon. The BCC Approved the Broadcasting License for ORIZONT TV

The Audiovisual Coordination Council (BCC) approved unanimously on the 18th of December the application for the broadcasting license for Orizont TV channel, managed by a company registered two weeks ago. According to the representatives of the new TV channel, it’ll produce culture shows for children.

The broadcasting license for the channel was issued to ARHIDOC GROUP SRL, which was officially registered on the 4th of December 2018. This company is managed by Roman Gusan. Ots founder is Cristina Cristea-Gusan.
The ORIZONT TV representative, Diana-Josu Braniste, who presented the general concept of the channel, mentioned that the company intends to promote national values and cultural events. ‘Culture is not so well publicized in the media.’ Diana Josu-Braniste said.
She went on to say that ORIZONT TV will also tackle the matter of migrants in a show entitled ‘Viitorul’ [‘The Future’] and that it’ll host talk shows with mothers and children, VIP Magazin shows and other products.

When BCC member, Olga Gututui, asked whether there are any hidden political interests behind it, Diana Josu-Braniste assured that the TV Channel will not get involved in the election campaign that’ll start soon and that it’ll be an apolitical channel in general.
