During this year, 12 cultural publications in Moldova will receive financial support from the Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI), according to icr.ro.

The decision has been made following the analysis of requests for funding. Thus, the Romanian Cultural Institute approved the return to quarterly funding through the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu” in Chisinau for the following publications: Viața Basarabiei, Literatura și Arta, Destin românesc, Text, Sud-Est cultural, Clipa Siderală, Noi, Contrafort, Cahulul literar-artistic, Punct, Metaliteratura, Philologia. The request for funding of the Buletin lingvistic magazine has been rejected.

Projects are selected within the Publications of the Romanian Cultural Institute program, which, among other things, provides financial support to Romanian publications in Romania and abroad (in Moldova, Ukraine, etc.), such as magazines dedicated to culture, history, literature, youth culture, teaching of Romanian language and literature.

The Romanian Cultural Institute encourages innovative initiatives and original creations, and offers financial support to authors in an open competition, where independent juries make decisions judging on the value of submitted projects. The RCI has the mission of promoting national culture and civilization in the country and abroad.
