Study visit of Moldovan journalists to Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic

15 journalists representing print media, online media, radio and television, who are working on the topic of the European integration of Moldova, starting today are in a program of study visits to Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The study visits are intended for sharing experience and techniques for the media coverage of the topics concerning European Union, European values and the role of mass media in the process of our country’s integration into the European community.
 
Participants in the program have been selected from 23 applications based on the following criteria: at least two years of experience in the media; communication skills in English; motivation and ability to work in an intercultural environment.
 
The journalists, who are representing media outlets from around the entire Moldova, including the Gagauz and Transnistrian regions, will have to produce materials promoting European values and showing the benefits of European integration of Moldova.
 
Study visits are organized by the Independent Journalism Center (IJC) with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the Moldova Partnerships for Sustainable Civil Society project implemented by FHI 360.
