In Moldova, custom makes women take on responsibility for family planning. For this reason, men often ignore visits to relevant medical professionals. And while women since teenage years are encouraged to visit a gynecologist at least once a year, men often do not even know what doctor they should go to when they need.
The reasons that affect reproductive health, where men should seek medical help, and why the concept of sex health should be more actively promoted in society are the issues discussed in the new episode of the “Divided by Two” [Romanian “Împărțit la doi”] show.
The IJC has been releasing the “Divided by Two” show since April, aiming to bring to the attention of the general public the multiple aspects of gender issues and to present positive models of involvement of men and women into various spheres of life. All the shows produced so far can be found on the IJC’s portal www.moldova-azi.md in the section of Shows.

The “Divided by Two” shows are produced as part of the ”Media for Gender Balance” campaign implemented by the Independent Journalism Center with the financial support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency through the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau.
