They have two children, they share house chores, they both go to work, and in the evening, together, they deal with the family business. This is how one could describe in short the Buciuscanu family in the town of Orhei. The two spouses struggle to cope with the situation in the family and at work.

The truth is that it is not easy to make the best of both worlds, when it comes to personal and professional life. Once children appear, nearly all families in Moldova must choose between home and career, and the golden mean is not easy to find. Why young parents get into difficulties and what the State should do to support both men and women to succeed both personally and professionally are the things you can find in the new episode of the “Divided by Two” show.

We shall remind you that the Independent Journalism Center has been producing “Divided by Two” shows [„Împărțit la doi” in Romanian] since April, intending to bring to public attention multiple aspects of gender issues and to present positive models of involvement of women and men in various spheres of life.
