Dozens of journalists protested on Tuesday, October 10, in front of the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) to demand, together with representatives of civil society, transparency in the publication of court judgments.

The lack of public authorities’ openness in their relations with the media was discussed in the 58th edition of the “Media Azi” [Media Today] show by journalist Anastasia Nani as moderator and her guests - Victor Moșneag, investigative reporter of the newspaper “Ziarul de Garda”, and Dumitru Alaiba, program director of the Center for Policies and Reforms in Moldova.

From this edition you can find out what made journalists come out into the street and how SCM members reacted to their protest; how public officials motivate their refusals to provide journalists with the requested information; and why officials are afraid of providing information of public interest to the media.

Participants in the show also speak about what institutions, in their opinion, violate the law on access to information the most.
