Call for Applications: Expert for an Online Seminar (Masterclass) on Detection of Visual Manipulation and Fake Photos

The Independent Journalism Center (IJC), in partnership with Internews in Moldova, is looking for a regional Russian-speaking expert to hold an online master class on identification of visual manipulation and fake photos with the help of user-friendly online tools.

The master class will be held in Russian language and translated into Romanian. The expert is expected to share his knowledge, capitalizing on his own experience and answering questions so as to help participants understand the tools and abilities needed to identify manipulation and develop critical thinking.

The lesson plan shall be prepared by the trainer, and the lesson shall comprise pre-recorded video content and interactive tasks. In addition, participants should be able to ask questions and share their thoughts, and the trainer should provide answers to the questions he finds the most helpful to all participants. Answers should be recorded so they could be viewed by all users.

The target audience includes university and high school students, media professionals, bloggers, civic activists and the general public.

The reception of applications will be confirmed within two working days. The chosen applicants will be notified about the fact that they were selected within eight working days after the deadline for submission of applications.

The online master class is being organized by the Independent Journalism Center as a partner of the “Media Enabling Democracy, Inclusion and Accountability in Moldova” (MEDIA-M) project, funded by USAID and implemented by Internews.
