"Divided by two" (orig. „Împărțit la doi”) : women in business, between necessity and passion

Women of the Republic of Moldova run successful business in different fields of activity, both in rural areas and in cities, contributing in this way to the promotion of chances' equality in the entrepeneurial field. Angela Sobol is a young woman from Floresti, whose mother role motivated her to start a business.  Stela Moldovanu, another protagonist of the show, successfully runs a business through which local culture and art are promoted. Besides financial benefits, the fact that they succeeded to create their own entreprises, brings also spiritual fulfillment to these women.

According to a research, approximately one third of businesses from all over the world are owned or run by women. Find out what is the state of things in terms of female entrepreneurship in our country from the new show "Divided by two" (orig. "Împărțit la doi").

We remind you, that starting April, CIJ is working on the "Divided by two" program cycle, aiming to bring to the attention of the large audiencemultiple aspects of the gender issues  and to present positive models of men and women implication in dicerse spheres of life.

The "Divided by Two" shows are being made within the "Press Equalizes Gender!" (orig. "Presa echilibrează genul!") campaig, implemented by the Centre for Independent Journalism with the financial support from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, through the Swedish Embassy to Chisinau.
