Childbirth brings essential changes for parents. In some cases, prenatal and postnatal stages may be accompanied by inner anxiety and emotional instability, for both women and men.

The states many women go through after childbirth, lasting from one day to three weeks, are known as postnatal or postpartum sadness. Often these are characterized by anxiety, excessive worries, lack of energy, and fatigue which is felt even after sleeping. When such moods last for more than three weeks, reaching a few months, we are already talking about postnatal depression. You can learn more about what it means to women and men and how this stage can be overcome from the new episode of  Divided by Two.

The IJC has been releasing the Divided by Two show since April, aiming to bring to the attention of the general public the multiple aspects of gender issues and to present positive models of involvement of men and women into various spheres of life. All the shows produced so far can be found on the IJC’s portal www.moldova-azi.md in the section of Shows (Emisiuni).
