IJC has Launched a Multimedia Package Moldova Plus ”Migration”

Migration and how it influences Moldova, as well as its inhabitants and those who left abroad, are some of the subjects raised in a series of multimedia materials launched by IJC in a briefing on July 27th. At the event had taken part the authors of materials - Agora team and representatives of the 9 local media institutions, partners of the project for Strengthening Independent Media in Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia.

The multimedia package includes four materials that present different aspects like the portrait of a village affected by migration, what are the reasons for which Moldovans migrate and how did these change over years, european pensions received by Moldovans that worked legally abroad for several years and the otential of the diaspora to invest in Moldova. The topics covered include text, photos, videos and infogaphics. The materials were prepared by the Agora Team and are going to be published by the local partners of the project from the Nisporeni, Balti, Soroca, Cimislia, Basarabeasca, Rezina, Soldanesti districts and from the city of Bender. These, in turn, will make their own sets of multimedia reportages on the migration topic.

At the end, Dumitru Ciorici, has led a workshop on drones as an instrument for innovative journalism. Dumitru explained how can be a drone used in order to face the demands of the audience to be informed.   

The Moldova Plus Programme includes seven multimedia packages, which will be realized and launched by January 2018. Four more packages that will cover the following subjects: Domestic Violence (Moldova.org), Ecology (diez.md), Health (Elena Robu), Education/Tolerance (New Project Media) are going to be launched.

The Moldova Plus Programme takes part in the project "Strengthening Independent Media in Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia", implemented by the Independent Journalism Center in collaboration with Internews.
