The year 2018 was a complicated one for journalists and independent press institutions in Moldova. On the one hand, the authorities have restricted their access to information and events of public interest, on the other – some politicians made allegations and threats against them. There was also a professional crisis on the media market. Finding new reporters turned out to be a real challenge for editorial offices managers.
What solutions are there to establishing an enabling environment for journalists? What could the authorities do in this regard? These were among the questions that the 2018 journalists, awarded at the Annual Press Cub Gala answered at a Media Azi special edition.
