The way the media has reflected the case of the young man who was beaten near a shopping center in the capital by several K1 fighters and who died a few days later aroused a lot of discussions about the journalist’s ethics and the fairness of public institutions.

Some journalists have been criticized because, including in the search for audience, they have used ‘juicy’ but irrelevant personal data from the victim’s file, which put the latter in a negative light. On the other hand, the representatives of law enforcement bodies have been criticized because they exclusively provided those details from the file to the news portal.

Who abused more in this case? How should we actually write about sensitive subjects, of public interest?

The subject was tackled during the 80th edition of Media Azi talk show, where the journalist Irina Gotisan discussed with the director of Ziarul de Garda, Alina Radu.
