While in countries such as Germany, the Great Britain or the United States the circulation of the written press is constantly increasing, and the newspapers and magazines gain ground over the online media, the few publications currently emerging on the Moldovan market are experiencing serious difficulties, which may lead them to bankruptcy.

How does the written press resist given that the newsprint paper gets more expensive and that over half the newspaper cost goes to Î.S. ‘Posta Moldovei’? Who gets to support the written press and what policies could the Government develop in this situation?

Journalist Ivan Sveatcenko and his guest, the founder of the ‘Berega Dnestra’ (Nistru Banks) newspaper Artiom Varenita, discussed these and other aspects during the 82nd edition of Media Azi talk show.
