Winners of the ‘Journalists of the Year 2018’ Contest Were Designated

The Press Club in Chisinau – Independent Journalism Center (IJC) and the Press Freedom Committee awarded the best journalists and institutions of 2018 during the 24th edition of the Annual Press Club Awards Gala, organised on 6 December in Chisinau.
In this edition of the Annual Press Club Awards Gala nine prizes were offered at six categories.

At the Gala, the Press Council also awarded the National Award for Professional Journalistic Ethics and Deontology. This year’s award went to Balti ‘SP’ newspaper.
Since 1995, the ‘Top Journalists of the Year’ Gala has been organised every year at Press Club in Chisinau. The main purpose of this action, which is part of the objective of contributing to the consolidation of professional journalism, is to support and encourage the efforts of journalists to make high quality journalism, adhering to international professional standards.
