Eugeniu Ribca told Media Azi that because of lack of transparency we cannot exactly know whether the public company signed the labor contract with Bordeianu or not. If the contract hasn’t been signed, according to Borneianu, we are facing manipulation of public opinion about the contest for selection of the “Teleradio-Moldova” company president. So far, the decision on appointment of Olga Bordeianu as TRM president has not been published on the SB’s website.
At the meeting on June 30, the SB examined the appeal filed by SB member Petru Grozavu concerning the appointment of Olga Bordeianu, in his absence, since he was on vacation leave. Grozavu later criticized SB members for subjectively and unilaterally treating his request to annul the decision of June 4 and announce a new contest. “There were two reasons why I asked that, and both are related to wrong information in documents. First, Olga Bordeianu did not actually certify her studies for 2014, a two-week course at the American Academy of Film, as she stated in her CV. Second (much more serious), Olga Bordeianu did not fully comply with the conditions of the contest for selection of the TRM president (it was found that she has no more than 9 years of experience in mass media, instead of the 10 years required by the Regulations),” SB member Petru Grozavu said in a statement.
Expert Eugeniu Ribca believes that SB’s attitude in this case should have been based on a cold analysis of the situation. “Since the candidate does not have enough years of experience in the field, the appointment of a person that fails to meet the conditions stipulated in the ad-hoc regulations of the SB is a grave situation,” Ribca said. He then added, “I believe that we are dealing with a serious problem of legality in the work of this Supervisory Board.”
At the SB meeting on June 30, Olga Bordeianu said she has more than 9 years of experience in broadcasting and more than 15 years in mass media.
“It is necessary to analyze the situation and to follow the actual facts. (…) Since certain contest conditions were set, no candidate can avoid them. Otherwise, each of the candidates has the right to challenge the SB decision in court and to annul the contest results,” Eugeniu Ribca said.
