A new TV channel will appear on the media market of Moldova beginning in March. AXIAL TV, which obtained its broadcasting license last week, will be a channel focused on art and culture, education, music, entertainment, but it will also have information and analysis programs. The channel will broadcast via the country’s cable networks.

AXIAL TV founder Silvia Caloianu told Media Azi that the new channel starts with 30 programs, and the majority of them are original. “I consider equally important such programs as “European standards”, “See you online!”, “Rights and obligations” or “Love story”. Certain programs, such as “Around the axis”, “Discussions up to the nines”, “A poet a week” are definitely for select viewers. Our programs for children and school students and entertainment programs, such as “Auction Plus”, “Musical Casino” or “Hand in hand with stars” will also have an audience.”

According to Silvia Caloianu, the creative team aims not only to inform viewers, but also “to keep them in front of the screen, touch their minds”, and the target audience will be “the one that thinks.”

According to the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC) activity report for 2015, 30 broadcasting licenses, including 13 for TV channels, were issued last year.
