The prosecutor Adriana Betisor notified the Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC) with reference to the TV channel Jurnal TV on the grounds that she was allegedly defamed in the show "Ora de Ras" of this channel, the edition from 26 June. As a result, Adriana Betisor requests denials from the team of authors. At the same time, the analysis of the show, done by the specialists of BCC didn't find any violations of the Broadcasting Code from the Republic of Moldova. However, the representatives of the BCC admitted a series of violations of the Code of Ethics of the journalist.
During the meeting of BCC from 12 August 2016, the speaker Ion Duhlicher (BCC) specified that the show "Ora de Ras" was subjected to monitoring, but they found only violations of the Code of Ethics of the Journalist, but not of the Broadcasting Code. The members of the BCC said that the only thing that they could do is to warn this TV channel. "It's not the first intimation, but not the last in the case of Jurnal TV and especially of the show "Ora de ras". However, I don't think that their attitude and format, but also their behaviour will change somehow ... The proposal is to take notice of this intimation with mentions on addressing the court to defend the dignity and honor and finding the violation of the Code of Ethics of the Journalist" mentioned Dinu Ciocan, BCC chairperson.
Media Azi asked the opinion of the representatives of Jurnal TV, also through an email, but nobody could comment on the situation. "Unfortunately, nobody can give you a statement. The lawyer is missing, but the show's producers are on holiday. Contact us again, maybe on Monday somebody will give you a statement", said a representative of the institution.
The past days, Adriana Betisor, submitted a preliminary request, through her lawyer, to "Ziarul de Garda". And in this case the prosecutor requests denials " with reference to the exorbitant cost of the building mentioned in the title of the article" and " the removal of the photo from the background of the building which is an object of investigation and the excerpt from the real estate register from the online publication" after the newspaper revealed that Betisor family build a building of millions in the outskirts of Chisinau.
