The TV station Realitatea TV suspends its activity for an undetermined period of time beginning Saturday, July 29th 2017, according to communique, published on the press institution's website. The reason has been stated as lack of financial ressources.
"For three years Realitatea TV Moldova has informed you objectively about everything that was happening around you and tried to present reality the way it is, without intermediaries. This is the TV station that broadcasted original programmes, impartial news, had interesting guests and presented to the audience resounding investigations, as well as has brought you the most important events live and directly to your homes", as mentioned in the official message.

Asked by „Media Azi” to comment on the reasons that led to this situation, Dumitru Tira, director of the TV station, answered that the problem consists in the "lack of money".
The suspesion of activity will also lead to employee dismissal. Although, the Online Press Group "Realitatea", represented by the following websites: www.realitatea.md; www.rlive.md; www.kankan.md; www.bani.md; www.stireata.md; www.topmedia.md will continue to activate.
Realitatea TV was lanunched on the media market of Molfdova on July 8th, 2014 and was headed by Dumitru Tira, owner of the "Realitatea" Press Group.
