Victor Mosneag, Ziarul de Garda reporter, is the winner of the competition for the best investigative journalist in Southeast Europe organized by the SEEMO and the CEI. He was awarded on November 27 in Sofia, Bulgaria, according to Ziarul de Garda.
The contest is held every year and offers only 2 awards in two categories: Professional Investigative Journalist and Aspiring Investigative Reporter.
The prize for the best professional investigative journalist was given to Victor Mosneag. According to the SEEMO and the CEI Jury’s decision, Victor Mosneag was awarded for “his excellent work of addressing corruption and justice issues in the Republic of Moldova. (...) His series of articles presents corruption in the sphere of justice, showing corruptionists’ income, property, and the great difference between their legal wages and their actual wealth.”
This year, 22 reporters from 10 states of Southeast Europe competed for the award.
