You’ve probably noticed how many portals have appeared lately claiming to inform us. However, many of them do nothing but manipulate. If one attempts to sue such a website for denigrating information, it could win the case, but there is a risk that the respondent won’t be identified. As a rule, the persons behind these ‘projects’ hide their contact details. Should the online press be regulated or not? What do the European standards recommend in this respect and what does the new draft law developed by the Parliamentary Group on Improving the Media Law provide?

Journalist Anastasia Nani and her guests – lawyer Tatiana Puiu and head of UNIMEDIA news portal Cristian Jardan, discussed this topic during the 81th edition of Media Azi talk show.
