'Press Lawyer’ – Your Guide in Media Legislation

On the occasion of the Press Freedom Days, the Department for Media Law and Policy of the Independent Journalism Centre (IJC) launched a new section called ‘Media Lawyer’. Every Friday IJC lawyers will answer the questions of journalists and media outlets representatives related to media legislation of the country, their rights and responsibilities, freedom of expression and publish the answers on the www.media-azi.md portal.

We will also provide you with consultations on the issues related to protection of honor, dignity and business reputation, access to information, right to privacy, legal status of the media outlets, copyright. At the same time, upon request, we will provide you with copies of the legislative acts in force, information about other sources of necessary assistance, advertising etc.
In this way, we aim to support the work of journalists and media outlets, by providing them with the correct legal solutions, adapted to each separate case.

Questions and answers will be published on thewww.media-azi.md platform, without indicating the name of the person who asked the question or name of the institutions he/she represents.
