Several TV Stations Were Penalized for Favoring Certain Political Parties during the Election Campaign

At the open meeting on Wednesday, May 27, the Broadcasting Coordinating Council warned six TV stations about their breaking the Regulation on Election Campaigns Reporting.

The penalized TV stations are: PRIME TV, Canal 2, Canal 3 and Publika TV (they favored the Democrat Party or presented it only in positive light), Ren Moldova and Accent TV (they favored the Socialist Party).

During May 9-17, 13 TV stations were monitored to assess how accurately they had been reporting on the election campaign.
