The Supervisory Board (SB) has elected on Friday, March 11, the director of public radio (the position had been vacant since February 2015).

Three candidates competed for the office – Veaceslav Ghiorghisenco, Adrian Petcu, and Vladimir Turcanu, – and the first of them won by a landslide. Six SB members voted for him as the new director – Doina Deleu, Larisa Calugaru, Marina Turcan, Stela Nistor, Vitalie Tapes, and Nicolae Spataru.

Veaceslav Gheorghisenco has been an employee of “Teleradio-Moldova” company since 1994, and since March 2015 he has been an interim director. He is a university graduate with two specialties – journalism and communication sciences (Moldova State University, 1995) and law (Free International University of Moldova, 2002).

Two other competitions for the position of director of national radio were organized by the SB in April and June 2015, but none of the candidates at the time managed to obtain the necessary number of votes.
